This website, chillcreative.co, is run by Jenni Davies, trading as Chill Creative ("Chill Creative", "I", "me"). If you have any question about these policies, email jenni@chillcreative.co.

privacy policy

I only collect the personal information I need to reply to you, book calls and send the newsletter you asked for.

What I collect

• Newsletter sign-ups: your email address (and your first name if you give it), plus the date you signed up and your consent. This is stored with my email provider, Kit (ConvertKit).
• Discovery call bookings: the name, email address and any notes you enter when you book through my Google Calendar booking page. This is stored by Google.
• Emails you send me: whatever you choose to include, kept in my inbox.
• Technical data: like most websites, my site host (Showit) and the services below may log basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.

How I use it

• To send the newsletter you signed up for (a couple of times a year, plus the occasional opening on the books)
• To schedule and prepare for calls, and to reply to your messages
• To deliver and invoice client work if we end up working together

I never sell your information, and I don't share it with anyone except the services I use to run the business (listed below).

Legal basis (for visitors in the UK and EU)

I send the newsletter on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. I handle bookings and emails because you asked me to (steps before a possible contract), and client information because I need it to deliver our contract.

• Kit stores newsletter subscribers and sends the emails
• Google Calendar and Zoom handle call bookings and meetings
• YouTube hosts the testimonial videos. The previews use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and full videos open on YouTube, which has its own privacy policy
• Google Fonts supplies the fonts on this site

Some of these companies are based outside your country (for example in the US), so your information may be processed there under their own safeguards.

How long I keep it

Newsletter details stay until you unsubscribe. Emails and booking details are kept as long as they're useful for our conversation or working relationship, and client records as long as I need them for accounting and legal reasons.

Your rights

You can ask me to show you, correct or delete the information I hold about you, or to stop using it. Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link, or you can just email me. If you're in the UK or EU and you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies

This site doesn't use advertising cookies. The services above (such as Showit, YouTube and Google) may set cookies or similar technology when you use their features. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

• Services: any work we do together is covered by its own proposal and agreement, which takes priority over anything on this website.

• Changes: I may update these policies from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
